Carignane 2021

We planted six acres of Carignane in our organically grown Whale Rock Vineyard on the westside of Paso Robles because we love the deep garnet color, rose petal aroma, and bright raspberry finish. One of the most planted grapes in France, it’s used     extensively for blending because of the natural acid balance, intense smokiness, and fresh-picked berry flavors. Our Carignane starts with cherry cola aroma, has a full and lush middle, and finishes with a dark chocolate silkiness.  This is a food lover’s wine! It pairs great with fairly strong cheeses, hearty entreés, and is a Thanksgiving favorite.
